Lydia was offered a chance to go to Seychelles to do coral resoration. She worked hard to get this volunteer position. Three days after being accepted for the the two month position, she was packed and on the plane. Two long flights a ferry ride and a short plane ride should have got Lydia to her destination today. After two months of coral restoration Lydia is hoping there may be a more permanent position.
Peace and quiet on Imagine only meant starting jobs earlier in the morning. We have already received enquiries about crewing with Imagine later in the year. We are talking to the different people and working out who would be more suitable for a long passage overseas. Our plans are very fluid as countries open and close there borders, due to covid. Some have opened for air travel but not sea and some like Vanuatu are still closed.
We were sorry to hear about the volcanic eruption and tsunami inTonga and the ensuing devastation. They are also in a catch 22, desperate for aid but also trying to keep covid out. What do you do? We know NZ and OZ will help where they can.
